Fife and Drumming in Newtown.

Going through a few bits n pieces today, I came across this old black & white photo from yesteryear.

 

I am not sure of the year, however the photo was taken from North Street around the front of the Chapel in Newtownards and best guess it is the 12th morning.

 

I am also unsure who the fifer is, however the two drummers are brothers Wilbert Magill and Alfie Magill - the Lodge is LOL 128.

 

The fifes have been absent from the 12th Demonstration in North Down for almost 2 x generations now, yes there are a number of fifers in the town, sadly the drummers prefer to drum together than drum to the fife!!
